Greetings
Saints,
It's hard
to believe that we have been here at 803 west Maple in Wichita for Two
years. Before that we were with another ministry that was feeding 5
days a week back in June 2000. We were feeding in the Park that back
then. here you can see a clip from Channel 10 news about that filmed
in 2000. Also the Program clip from Atlanta Live is Also there. That's
the trip we just went on to speak about the Homeless in Wichita. Soon
we will be on Sky Angel on a program called The Promised Land also
speaking about the Wichita Homeless Mission. They taped two programs.
The second is about the cult leader R.G. Stair and the Book we
published about him. Yes he even has followers in Wichita, Ks.
There were
a couple of articles last week in the Wichita Eagle speaking about the
homeless and hungry in Wichita, Ks. It said many social services were
hurting because Boeing workers who were laid off cannot donate now and
some are even seeking services them selves.
To date we
still get most of our donations from people who read about us on the
internet. We have served thousands of meals two days a week and gave
out tons of clothing, coats, hats, ( funny in a picture on the front
of the Eagle you can see guys under one of the Bridges wearing one of
our orange Stocking hats) gloves etc.
Today The
Salivation Army gave out some coats but we have been giving them out
for some time now. We still need more coats sleeping bags etc.
Ed and his wife
Randi are taking names to give the Homeless Holiday gifts. They just
ask them to put 3 items on the list they really want or need. Last
year they did this and I think about 70 people were blessed. You
see Ed is the head of PR at the Bank down the street and he got the
employees and the Bank involved. What a blessing. Here is Ed. Randi,
Grandma, and I at 803 west Maple. Yes the Food is still cooked and
brought to Wichita. You know we live about a 120 mile round trip from
Wichita.
Saints we really
need your support. We need Donations of everything. We also need help
for thanks giving!
Please pray
about it as the Holidays are here and they need your help. Oh yes in
the last few weeks we have given out dozens of pairs of gloves also.
When Grandma serves lunch she give out between 60 to 70 plus
sandwiches. You see we open for a few hours and get them in and see to
there needs. We have games etc for them to do and they also ask for
prayers and I minister to them. Much preaching is done out side.
For the last 3
months the place next door has really hassled us. Even called the law
when calling the Landlord did not work. No telling what she will try
next. We do not bother her. The People stay where our landlord said
they could smoke talk etc around the side of the Building. Pray for
her.

picture taken by Sister Willi today. She is such a Blessing she picks
up donated donuts and is taking personal care of some of the women.
Bags and bags of clothing she bring for them. She does many things.
As most of you
Saints know this is a family ministry. My Children serve them in the
summer when they are out of school and on Friday's. Daniel 2, helped
me start this Mission two years ago when he was 11 going under the
bridges and caring for them as I still do. We treat these people as
our ex-tended family. We show them Family where they have none. Today
we had two new people in who lost their jobs and the bank is
foreclosing on their house. Please pray for them.
Let me tell you
without my wonderful wife nothing would get done!
