Greetings,
I am truly amazed at how we have
people from all walks of life coming to our little storefront. Today we had
two Pregnant females come to the Mission. One White one African American.
The Only reason I say this is to express the far different sides of town
they come from and the distance they came to get to our home, the Father's
house as so many call it.
The one woman as I was taking
her home with her daughter was so thankful for the Sabbath Candle stubs I
gave her to light her home. I explained the candle custom and it made her
think and when she lights those candles she will wonder more. Her family
will be over Friday and now that the dark comes early the people will enjoy
sister Linda lighting the candles and welcoming in the Lord's Day of
Rest.You see her family has no electricity. They are foreclosing on her
house as her and her husband cannot find work. Those burnt ends of Sabbath
candles will mean much to her tonight. tradition would say I should not
relight them but Messiah would I know it in my heart. She felt bad I had to
travel through the ghetto as she called it to get her home. I reassured her
that when I was in the world I was not stranger to the ghetto.
But why was this white man
having to travel here to help? Where are the churches in her neighborhood?
Why are they not helping her? For that matter where is the Church in the
Pregnant white girls hood? Why are the churches not having open doors
feeding the people? Seeing to their needs? Where are the men of God the
Father?
They claim they know Messiah but
do they? Where are they when a drunk man cries in anguish at his life are
they holding his head up off the cold pavement saying the Father and Son
Love you! Where are the men of God as these people freeze under a bridge?
Why are they not in the street, where are the men of God? Why does the
Father have to have me drive 120 miles round trip just to get there to offer
his love? Wichita, Ks has almost 1/2 million people in it. Where are the
Churches? Why are not the minister's in the street going under the bridges?
Where are the men of God? in a building somewhere preaching to those already
saved?
Pray for our extended Family,
and those of you that have seen fit to donate to the Father's work, thank
you from the bottom of my heart........
